Kokotat – Poseidon PFD

Wednesday, March 15th, 2017

Kokotat’s Poseidon Personal Flotation Device offers flexibility in load carriage as the strap lattice at the front allows the wearer to configure pockets where they want them. The vest comes with a Full Chest Pocket Accessory that has three zippered compartments and a lash tab on the back for knife storage. Other accessory pockets include the Poseidon Quick Release Belt, Belly Pocket, single Chest Pocket and Tactic Pack. Additionally, there is a hydration pocket at the rear of the 500D Cordura Vest which will accept a reservoir. The Poseidon is available in three sizes with US Coast Guard or Transport Canada approved flotation, made from a PVC-Free Foam.

The only thing that will be a problem for tactical users is the color combinations. There’s Black, bit only as long as it is paired with Red, Blue or Yellow. Of course, spray paint is a service member’s best friend.

Warrior West – Kokatat

Wednesday, April 24th, 2013

You’ve heard us refer to a shade of Grey as ‘MAS Grey’ but some of you may not know where it comes from. It’s the shade of the Maritime Assault Suit manufactured by dry suit manufacturer Kokatat. For the past decade Kokotat has been making the NSW issue MAS although ironically, they refer to the color of the suit as Alpha Green or Sepia.

Many features now considered standard for military dry suits were first integrated on the MAS such as pockets that replicate combat uniforms.
