MMI Textiles – CTEdge Webbing and Binding Tape

Friday, December 2nd, 2016

MMI Textiles has introduced CTEdge Webbing and Binding Tape to mitigate the effects of white edge on worn gear. The CTEdge is created using patent-pending technology that gives the edge of the fabric a more concealed edge because it is woven with different color threads. It allows the edge to blend in much more with MultiCam behind it or another military-colored fabric. Below, you can really see the difference.

CTEdge Webbing

MMi Textiles offers their exxlusive CTEdge in both A-A-55301 and Mil-W-17337. It is also available in OCP by contract basis only. This product is often used in bags, vests, MOLLE systems, and other tactical gear. The following widths are available in Mil-W-17337: ¾” 1”, 1.5”, 2” 3”.

CTEdge Binding Tape

Their binding tape comes with patent-pending CTEdge that meets Mil-T-5038. This product is stocked and available in ¾” and 1”.

MMI Textiles Introduces MultiCam Printed Webbing

Wednesday, June 1st, 2016

During SOFIC we ran into MMI Textiles and they told us they had secured a license to print MultiCam webbing.

One of the things I like about their printed webbing is that the edges aren’t white.

OR – MMI Textiles

As I meandered through the maze-like halls of Outdoor Retailer I looked up to see a manikin decked out in Orion Design Group’s Lupus camouflage pattern. Turns out, I had run into the MMI Textiles booth. They print this pattern as well as several others including the PenCott family.

This sample of Valdyr camouflage was digitally printed on Durastretch 520V by MMI Textiles. You may recognize the pattern from Revision Military’s Kinetic Operations Suit built for USSOCOM’s TALOS program.

The Durastretch 520V is actually a lighterwight fabric than you’d think. It’s a Berry compliant, 5.3 oz, 90% Nylon/10% Spandex ripstop, stretch fabric. I’m hoping to see someone make something out of it soon (hint, hint Trey and Tom!).

MMI Textiles offers a variety of fabric printing capabilities including the digital print option seen above. Be sure to visit them at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, August 5th-8th in Salt Lake City, Utah – Booth # 355-304.
