Users have been asking OTTO to integrate their NoizeBarrier Micro in-ear hearing protection with their other comms systems like the H3 seen here. The issue has been that they didn’t want encrypted comms going into a Bluetooth enabled earpiece.
They made it happen by introducing a new earpiece with dual leads. This way the signals are kept separate.
It works with the H3, Listen Only and Surveillance kits.
The OTTO NoizeBarrier is a new electronic ear plug to protect from continuous impulse noise.
It offers 15db of protection for continuous elevated noise as well as 5x amplification for soft noise. The ealugs recharge in the case and run for up to 16 hours.
Currently undergoing evaluation by the US Air Force, OTTO’s Handheld Audio Recording Interface System (HEARS) is a 6-pin cable mounted recording device which goes between the hand/headset and radio. It records up to 100 hours of traffic in .wav format which can be downloaded directly to an Android device, but relax, there’s an on/off switch. HEARS has a battery life of 15 hours.

The Cable Management Clip from OTTO is a PALS compatible means to route and manage communications on your kit. Reusable, it’s available in a black, tan, flat dark earth and OD green.
OTTO has solved an issue that has plagued radio operators since the concept of dual comms in a single radio came out. Their new Dual Comms H-250 handset has two buttons, one for each channel. How sweet is that?
OTTO has introduced a new, lightweight headset that integrates a special version of SureFire’s ear protection mated to a proprietary talk through system. The Situational Awareness mode requires no batteries and is available in single or dual comm variants. The Hurricane SureFire headset also incorporates a high noise canceling microphone. The headset can also be adapted to virtually any military or civilian radio via patch cables and fits comfortable with the ACH/MICH helmet.
