SilencerCo has announced a new package in their Summit line, the Rifle Dynamics RD501 Classic Russian Red Edition. SilencerCo’s third collaboration with Rifle Dynamics, the RD501 is chambered in 5.45×39, and comes complete with a 12.5″ barrel, classic Russian Red handguard, triangle skeleton side-folding stock, and a Saker 556K suppressor with Direct Thread Mount.

SilencerCo and Rifle Dynamics are continuing the Summit AK Collection with the AK-104 inspired 12.5″ SBR. Chambered for 7.62x39mm, the 12.5″ SBR comes complete with the SilencerCo Omega .30 cal suppressor, and features an individual build time of 30+ hours. Like the initial Summit AK build, the 12.5″ SBR will be limited to just 25 units.

Intended to provide customers with multiple piston options to determine which provides the greatest host compatibility with their suppressor, the kit consists of 5 individually sized yet interchangeable pistons with a black nitride finish, offering increased wear-resistance and lubricity. That’s right, Rifle Dynamics and SilencerCo have come together to offer a Krink in .300 Blackout. What with the 7.62 x 39, you might wonder why even bother. According to RD’s Billy Cho, the decision was made in order to utilize subsonic ammo along with SilencerCo’s suppressor.

They’re staying mum about where the barrels came from but they will share that they are 1/7 twist. 9.25 inch barrel.

Cho also related that they aren’t over gassing these guns. They are optimized for use with suppressors and won’t cycle unsuppressed with subsonic ammo.

Right now these are being produced as a limited run of 25 as a package deal with Silencerco. But, Cho went on to say, “We will also be releasing a batch of suppressor optimized 7.62 and 5.45 guns that are basically our 700/500 series guns. Which are currently the ideal way to run suppressed.”
