    Rifle Dynamics Red October Kalashnikov

    Thursday, February 25th, 2016

The Rifle Dynamics Red October Kalashnikov is a practical-style competition providing a fun opportunity to compete using the AK-pattern rifle in a style that is typically slanted towards more modern AR-style designs. This match is NOT intended to be a tactics and doctrine-based exercise, just a fun celebration of Mikhail Kalashnikov’s rifle for the masses, which has served billions and billions worldwide in both noble and ignoble pursuits.

ROK will be held from October 29, 2016 at 9:00 AM through  October 30, 2016 at 5:00 PM at the Southern Utah Practical Shooting Range in St. George, UT.  They are limiting the event to 200 shooters.

It will consist of 350 rounds over 10 Stages (two of which are nighttime low-light).  Competitors will shoot four stages on Friday (either morning or afternoon), two night stages on Friday Night and four more stages on Saturday.  They’ll run a “half-day” schedule with room for 200 shooters, which gives competitors time to peruse a vendor area that they intend to fill with AK-specific retailers, builders and parts makers, complete with live-fire demo areas.

    There are four divisions:

-Kalash Heavy, for stock 7.62×39 and larger-caliber AKs/direct variants. Iron sights and 30 round (or smaller) mags only.

-Kalash Light, which is Kalash Heavy but for anything 5.45 or larger

-Open Kalash, where anything that’s an AK or variant and is chambered in 5.45 or larger is allowed! Optics, drum mags, anything you want so long as there’s an AK under there!

-ComBloc, which is for any rifle issued by a Warsaw Pact nation that ISN’T an AK (such as an SKS, Vz.58, StG-44 or any commie subgun like a PPSh-41)

Get This – .300 Blk Krink Collab Between Rifle Dynamics and SilencerCo

    Sunday, January 18th, 2015

    IMG_8258.JPG

That’s right, Rifle Dynamics and SilencerCo have come together to offer a Krink in .300 Blackout. What with the 7.62 x 39, you might wonder why even bother. According to RD’s Billy Cho, the decision was made in order to utilize subsonic ammo along with SilencerCo’s suppressor.

    IMG_8260.JPG

They’re staying mum about where the barrels came from but they will share that they are 1/7 twist. 9.25 inch barrel.

    IMG_8261.JPG

Cho also related that they aren’t over gassing these guns. They are optimized for use with suppressors and won’t cycle unsuppressed with subsonic ammo.

    IMG_8259.JPG

Right now these are being produced as a limited run of 25 as a package deal with Silencerco. But, Cho went on to say, “We will also be releasing a batch of suppressor optimized 7.62 and 5.45 guns that are basically our 700/500 series guns. Which are currently the ideal way to run suppressed.”

You can see samples of most of Rifle Dunamics’ guns they are doing with SilencerCo at their booth during SHOT show. This includes the Saiga 12 “cho-gun” RD built for SilencerCo’s Salvo12 suppressor and the new Vepr12/Saiga12 Salvo adapter.

    Rifle Dynamics/Emerson Knives Super CQC7

    Tuesday, October 7th, 2014

Like so many of us, Rifle Dynamics‘ Jim Fuller relies multiple times a day on his knife as his most basic tool. He related a story on Facebook that he came to use an Emerson Knives CQC7 and how the collaboration came to be.

    IMG_7980.JPG

Years ago I picked up an Emerson CQC-7 and found it to be a very useful knife. Sometime later Emerson came out with the Super CQC-7, same knife just bigger. It’s the perfect knife for my EDC. I have been carrying this model daily for about 10 years.

Somehow the folks at Emerson heard that I was using the CQC-7 so Kane Tierney contacted us about doing a co-branded version of the knife and we were very happy to do it.

The results are this beautiful CQC-7 with the Rifle Dynamics Warrior Angel logo on one side of the blade and Emerson’s logo on the other side. Additionally the Silver Gray G-10 grip panels were Cerakoted by Ernie Emerson himself. This is a limited edition knife, only 20 will be available so don’t delay as these will sell out fast.

    IMG_7981.JPG

He also states that these are not on their web store as they will go fast, to order send an email to info@rifledynamics.com with “CQC7” in the subject line along with your contact info. They are in stock and ready to ship price is 325.00. Don’t miss out on this one time offer!
