Armed Forces Day UK

Lest we forget, today is Armed Forces Day in the UK. We want to honor our closest Allies as the celebrate their 5th Armed Forces Day.

    Yes, our closest allies who we’ll soon be celebrating our indepence from, who burned washington, DC to the ground, who supported the south during the civil war to furthe fragment our country and who’ve always been there to exploit our economy any way they can. Good guys.

    Idiotic little man, many UK troops have given the ultimate sacrifice in the last 10 years fighting along side the US to rid the world of terrorism.

    Geographically, Canada is America’s closest Allie. And by the way Gulo – it was actually Canadian troops (under British command) who sacked and burned Washington D.C. during the War of 1812….

    But surely the more than 100 years of steadfast camaraderie and support since then have more than made up for any past neighborly squabbles?

    And let’s not let any of that overshadow the high spirits and close affinities that should rightly be celebrated today, Monday (Canada Day) and Thursday….

    We all stand together. We just commemorated the 200th anniversary of the American burning and sacking York (Toronto) during witch I heard not a single negative word against the US. Get over it Gulo. I’m more then ready to stand with my American, Australian, British and New Zealand brothers and sisters again!

      I think it’s because they all like to drink heavily 🙂

      Although we fought for our independence from the British crown so many years ago we have been allies with the British far longer than we were adversaries. I live near Lexington & Concord, MA where the opening battles of this war for our independence were fought and I still pause whenever I see the marking on the ground that reads “Here lies the body of a British soldier” knowing today that the British have proven themselves to be such important allies to the US.
