Why the fascination with camo on SSD?

    • John says:

Seriously? I assume you are not joking. A site about Soldier Systems should cover the clothing soldiers wear–camouflage. Clothing is one of their systems. For example, there’s the ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System).

And there are thousands of different camouflage patterns so it’s interesting to see which ones work best.

      It’s cool

    • babola says:

Logical place to discuss all things military camo, no?

    • Sean says:

They say there’s no such thing as a stupid question, but yours pushing it…

Open the image in a new tab boys, you’ll thank me later. 😛

    • babola says:

Do tell, oh wise Eddie the Eagle…what have we the mere mortals of average eyesight missed from the original photo…?

      • John says:

The photo is actually very large. You can see the camo pattern very well in the original large photo.

  3. Philip says:

The almost, but not quite Multicam, Multicam? 😉

    • Tungsten says:

The “we can’t afford multicam so we spend triple the money on R&D”, multicam.

      • m5 says:

Yes, almost like Multicam. Except for the pattern and colour, of course. But still, it’s mind boggling why they didn’t choose Crye’s better-than-anything-everytime camo. Worse still, being from Fibrotex, the uniforms might be reversible, so they might actually have *two* non-multicam patterns!
