If the goal is supposed to be concealment wouldn’t one rather wear the magazines and holster IWB or OWB with a baggy shirt? I do not understand the purpose of this rig if you’re trying to be low vis. To me it looks like a bulky solution to wearing your holster and spare magazines on your belt (which is more stable).

This is to carry a variety of kit. Additionally, it can be donned and doffed quickly.

    • PNWTO says:

I would call this a “quick-on support system” for your Line 1 gear.

And not too be nitpicky, but there is a difference between low-vis and no-vis… mission drives the gear.

    Alex,

The belt has many uses, from Low-vis, undercover type work to range training and active shooter uses. The belt is extremely configurable, and as SSD said, made to carry a variety of kit. With the belt being constructed of 2-way stretch material, it does keep all of the items close to your body and prevents excessive movement that may happen on a belt. It can also be donned over IWB carry guns if need be. I think once users get them in hand for a while, they will find some additional uses for it.

    Thank you

      Question Trent,
I’m very interested and see some strong potential applications. Are there pouches/holsters that come with it or is it merely the pockets on belt and bring your own kit?

  3. Riceball says:

It’s kind of funny that they call it a clutch, when I first saw the title I was expecting some sort of small hand held purse like thing and not a belt. Regardless, looks like a nice way of holding your mags if you don’t/can’t run a full battle belt or plate carrier. Depending on cost, I might get one of these for the range, looks like a great way to hold mags without looking like a total mall ninja,

I really like the premise. I just keep thinking, “it’s getting hot, and I’m going to soak it through.”

I keep thinking that an added benefit will be that it hides my loves handles, and then I think, “No. Bad, Cory. You go to the gym now.” Haha.

    Looks like a Das Ding

  7. Alex says:

I like this concept, but I don’t get the price. A Galco bellyband, of course with far less modification ability, can be found for $30. Is this nearly five times as costly to make?

Not hating, I’d buy one at $75. It’s just priced a bit higher than I expected.

    • SSD says:

Those are elastic. This is softshell material. It’s not going to pill like the elastic.

Elite Survival makes an elastic one as well if you’re looking to save some cash. Depending on how much you use it, the elastic might last you awhile.

    • Trent Zimmer says:

Alex, good question. The belt has Die cut Hypalon backers on the inside, mesh foam between the fabric, Velcro on the inside of the pockets as well as the accompanied sewing to make all of that happen. And as SSD said, this is sorts hell material, which is larger than expected before being folded over to get the desired strength / stretch ratio and make everything clean. It’s more involved than an elastic belly band and really designed for a different use (although some may overlap).

    • PNWTO says:

That’s why we look at the materials.

Well, I tried to place an order, but their website is screwed up. Is there anything more infuriating than a website that doesn’t do basic website stuff? This is why I try not to buy anything I can’t get on Amazon.
