I hate the name! However the M&P Shield EZ9 (also hate that name) always reminded me of the Shanghai Municipal Police Colt 1908 (that i only know about because of “Forgotten Weapons”). I thought the EZ9 had a nice trigger thanks to the internal hammer. And i didn’t mind replacing the trigger safety with a grip safety because of the above mentioned 1908. The Equalizer fixes the EZ9’s capacity issue which gives it the real ability to be a fun little fighting pistol. Is it the best carry pistol, not even – i think the P365 really takes the cake there. But it seems like it would be great as a “night stand gun” and could be really fun on the range. My local gun store, range usa lewisville, already has one (and you can rent it) and i was really impressed putting my hands on it. Really hate the name though.

The name, especially on the port side slide, has to go. EQR, EZR, ELR…anything but what it is now.

    Does Smith and Wesson make a 40 caliber equalizer? I don’t believe I originally measurement – 9mm!
