The new Ares Armor Combat XII-MEC Pack is similar to the original design but they have removed the of the PALS webbing from the rear compartments of the pack at the request of military customers who wanted to streamline the pack. The MEC designation is exclusive to PredatorBDU.com in the three PenCottâ„¢ Multi-Environment Camouflage patterns which include GreenZone (Temperate), Badlands (Transitional/Semi-Arid), and Sandstorm (Arid/Desert).
The Main Compartment features two sections for 100 oz hydration bladders with additional space for field rations or other gear, along with PALS webbing along the sides (solid color). In addition to the two magazine pouches on the rear of the pack there are also two zippered pouches. The pack can be worn solo with the shoulder straps or mounted directly to a plate or armor carrier.
The pack is manufactured from 1000D PenCott Textured Nylon that is NIR treated and features a DWR coating. Available now for pre-order from www.predatorbdu.com with delivery commencing mid-January (Free Shipping CONUS and APO/FP).

Oh man, would I love to see the SORD Smock in some camo appropriate for a woodland environment. What’s everyone wearing for woodland camo? Mixture of Deciduous and Evergreens, but more browns in the winder with splashes of green.
The Green Zone and Badlands pictured above look amazing for their environments, but I wonder what of this new generation would suffice for home hunting environments…
Mike – we’d love to see SORD’s smocks, etc. in PenCott too…
You wont see SORD smocks in that scheme for a long while.
