Give Anti-Gunners The Finger on Valentine’s Day

The National Gun Victim’s Action Council (NGAC), an anti-gunner group has called for a boycott of Starbucks on Valentine’s Day over their insistence on following local gun laws. By corporate policy Starbucks does not ban firearms in their stores but rather defers to local ordinances. If open carry is legal, it’s ok to do it in their stores. Conversely, if it’s illegal, it’s illegal so keep it at home. Their position isn’t pro-gun as much as pro-rule of law and we can get behind that.

So, join is telling these wannabe despots to “F” off by enjoying a hot cup of joe in your local Starbucks on February 14th.

    Exactly.

Really? A group is boycotting Starbucks for following the law? Starbucks already has a number of social causes. It doesn’t need to get tarred and feathered for not following everything one group wants. Praise the lord and pass the latte.

I’m not a fan of Starbucks, but I may have to make an exception that day. specially if any of those anti-gun twats (I mean that non-gender specifically) are out front.

    Roger, wilco.

  5. I see what you mean but... says:

I will be there. I’ll have a vente pike, (just good strong coffee) I will drink it from a Swag coffee cup i got at SHOT (saves 10 cents) ,and “I will be carrying” Because i can.

A number of people on message boards are also obtaining large sums of $2 bills to use for their purchases. The idea is simple: Jefferson was an advocate of individual firearm ownership, the second amendment is the one that grants us legal permission to enjoy our hobby and individual ability to protect ourselves and our families, and it’s really easy to visually track sales to pro-gun folk. “Wow, lots of $2 bills in the drop, what’s that all about?” “Oh well that’s because people supporting Starbucks for using good sense decided it would be a cool thing to do” The dialogue remains open past the initial day and event; people will be talking about it at the bank and beyond. I think it’s a cool idea and I’ll be there with a fistful of $2 bills (you need a fistful to buy anything) and happily supporting a company that didn’t bend to those Brady whackjobs.

GREAT IDEA MIKE! Making that entry in another forum… I’ll be OC’ing that day, even though I have a CHP… Simply because I LEGALLY CAN DO SO!

And yes, it’s expensive coffee, but it’s REEEEEAAALLLLYYY GOOD expensive coffee!

  9. EGS says:

I don’t normally open carry, though it is legal here in VA. I use this an exercise in doing so, weather permitting.

Six Shot Venti Americano, room for cream.

  10. Riceball says:

Too bad CA just recently banned open carry (stupid governor Brown), otherwise I’d seriously consider open carrying into a Starbucks this Valentine’s Day.
