Firearms Legislation Coverage

A lot will be happening this week relative to the Obama administration and their efforts to restrict gun rights. Ironically, as I am covering SHOT Show, I won’t have the same level of access to what is going on on the political front. Understand that I am not ignoring this issue. Rather, I am supporting our firearms and tactical industries through my up to the minute coverage of SHOT Show.

Remember to support websites and blogs that support our Second Amendment. There has been ample opportunity to speak up and some have remained silent. To my colleagues that fully support this industry and the Second Amendment I salute you. Those that won’t stand up for what’s right and the bed rock of freedom from tyranny, well, they’re just leeches now aren’t they?

New York State is halfway through the process… Bill passed the senate and on to the house, if it goes through we will have to register our rifles and all magazines over 7, that’s right, 7 rounds are illegal

    • (Another) Chuck says:

That effectively eliminates every Glock (or XD or M&P, etc), even with neutered (10 round) mags. Looks like 1911 and revolver sales will go through the roof.

Are 8+ round mags grandfathered or is this an outright ban?

      • Chuck says:

Anything over 10 is illegal as of NOW (the bill passed and has been signed). An owner has one year to sell to someone out if state any mags that hold more than 10 rounds or face a possible misdemeanor. Any mag between 8 and 10 must be plugged (somehow) or you will face a misdemeanor. “Assault weapons” are now any gun with ONE evil feature and must be registered.

All they want us to own is revolvers and shotguns…. for the time being. Those will be next….

I just finished building a flintlock from scratch… I’ll be taking orders while I can…
