A Moment of Silence for Photo Journalist Yves Debay Please

20130118-073438.jpgIt has come to our attention that Belgian Photo Journalist Yves Debay was killed covering the action in Syria. He was a Veteran of the military and had been on assignment on multiple conflicts for a wide variety of publications. We will miss he dedication to the troops and his unique perspective while reporting.

    I’ve met him in Kossovo, 12 years ago. An excellent photojournalist and a nice guy.

    Great shame. He was a prolific documenter of conflicts, exercises and military events for longer than I can remember. Always going to the places no one else dared to, and coming back with the shots and stories no one else could get.

    His archive of countless photographs and dozens of books (invaluable for military modellers and re-enactors, as well as camouflage collectors) will remain as an important legacy to us all.
