What was it shot with? Looks like 9mm to me but I’m the opposite of an expert.
I’ve always wanted a badly damaged helmet… I’d better get my entry in ASAP!
A mix of 9mm and .45 is the answer.
We are giving it away because we recently posted a photo of this helmet and have received about 30 emails asking if people could have this helmet.
Hence the competition.
We shot up an old MICH that’s been sitting in our store for a couple years. I never figured it was valuable other than proving that helmets will stop pistol rounds…except the .460 SnW Magnum that shoots through schools. It didn’t stop that. Might have had something to do with Jimmy shooting it from about two feet away. Maybe. Everything else that hit it is documented with what round and what projectile, from .22LR, 9mm, .40, and .45 ACP, HP and JHP. It stopped all that stuff. Current helmets are good stuff.
