Philistine! That’s the Adventure Team logo from GI Joe which predates the Appalachian Trail symbol.

Every time I see that logo, I don’t think of adventure team but more the logo for the Appalachian Trail.
It’s about your age. I see it and think GI Joe. Plus, Appalachian Trail logo is green and white while the Adventure Team is Red and Black.
