Ya know stuff like this is kinda cool, in that free stuff can be had BUT this is a bummer for those of us, like myself, who do not facebook, Tweet, Instagram or any other social media stuff!

    • mike says:

if your job requires you to refrain from social media how do you think they would feel about your EDC being posted?

      • Dellis says:

No not the case with me. I am just not into the social media stuff. I contact people the old fashion way, Email and phone…lol.

I understand though why companies do this type of marketing, it’s popular right now and gets “hits” and “likes” so makes them relavent. My shop has all this stuff but me personally I don’t have any of it.

I personally love it when people post their “EDC” handgun which shows absolutely no holster wear. The finish of my EDC guns have literally been “worse for wear”. They should host an “actual EDC” and an “aspirational EDC” contest. Actual would have a lot of keys and wallet pictures. Also, where are all of the less tacticool EDC items? Like 8% of the population has asthme, Ive never see an asthma inhaler? Never see a pouch of tissues or a AA token. Its always a $300 knife and a safe queen handgun. :/

    • mike says:

Mine’s a $500 knife and a beat to hell 228, though I’ve technically been carrying the 220 more due to the weather 😉

Mine is an actual pocket dump and is actually what I carry on me each day.

Not terribly extreme, but #extremeEDC nonetheless…

      • Casey says:

Not judging, but dont you get squeemish when you have to actually cut anything with your nice knife? I feel like at somepoint, the cost of the knife hinders the usefullness of it. I like my $40 SOG knife that I can use as a screwdriver in a pinch and if I chip the blade, I dont die a little inside.

        • mike says:

Not in the slightest. I put a knife of that caliber in my pocket BECAUSE I don’t want to be squeamish when cutting things! The thing is over a quarter inch thick so while it would be hard to use a screwdriver it’s unlikely to chip.

EDC is supposed to be what you take with you every day, every time. Its what you cant leave without. Think: what do I NOT leave the house with. Nobody is like “Honey, would you run to the Safeway and grab a can of beans for the chili” “Sure honey, let me grab my survival pouch and three multitools!”

    • mike says:

Actually lots of people are like that. In no way practical, but who am I to judge your Maxpedition bag full for multi-tools and IFAKs?

I think you guys went a little to far. Extreme is the first part of the name of the company. EDC can be anything in your pocket. its a contest. For FREE things amigo.
