On days like this I sometimes find myself in a mental loop. Thinking about multiple scenarios where brothers have fallen. Replaying them over and over again. Wondering what I could have done different. Why wasn’t it me? It’s then I snap out of it and realize I’m still here not in vain, but to honor and remember them. To not have a pity party, but to let their loved ones know that their son was a brother to me and we have not forgotten them. We never will. To all our fallen brothers.
