People may scoff but… A waterproof drill is possibly the coolest thing I have seen on SSD in quite some time. I want it and I don’t even dive.

I’m not sure if this is real or not. SOF can’t use normal commercial underwater powertools?

And give it the FS underwater camo, so that when you drop it there is absolutely no chance of every recovering it (until a kid fishes it up 17 years later).

Dummy cord. Problem solved. Just like when you add items to your rifle. Running and gunning and slamming into barricades or butt stocking savages. Stuff will wanna pop off in the heat of the moment. I know that when I was popping up in the turret to be the gunner. I had to mount my rifle with a peq 15 side mounted since I had a 203 left sight mounted on top. I cannot tell you how many times we hit a bump rifle fell leaf sight fell and if it were not dummy corded to my rifle I would of been sol.

normal commercial underwater tools are either pneumo(air) or hydraulic operated requiring hoses from a surface HPU or air compression unit to function.

I have used the commercial variant of this drill that i assume is the same as this one except the color, and the drill is waaay more powerful than you would expect.
Not saying it will ever come close to a hydraulic tool, but you can expect to be able to do the same tasks with this subsea that you would be able to do with any brand similar sized drill on surface..

With my luck, i’d get a bit stuck and just spin in circles, like astronauts before they perfected zero gravity tools.

Not sure if a lithium battery was the best choice.

      The shark has been jumped.

      No logo for maximum concealment.

      That’s hilarious.

For taking apart the enemy’s submarine. 🙂
