Who sells those watch bands?
It looks like a Maratac Zulu; try County Comm or West Coast Time (no connection etc.)
I believe it’s a NATO Strap Co 22mm.

The Sinn U1 is as always, an awesome piece.
I’d never heard of them, thx for the link.
You can get Nato straps pretty much anywhere on eBay for cheap. Nothing new.
If you want something beefier check this one out I found:

Thanks!
Does anyone know who makes the compass?
Belay my last. Figured it out. Prometheus!
Crown and Buckle makes some great NATO/ZULU bands, as well (no connection, just a satisfied customer)
I second Crown and Buckle. Very good quality. I bought a bunch from them so I’d always have replacements. A few years later and multiple deployments of daily wear and strap number one is still in good shape. Just wash it once and awhile.
I find “NATO” bands and nylon bands in general to be actually pretty crappy when worn regularly. The nylon actually chafes on clothing especially nylon mix and cottons and cause them to pick and pill excessively prematurely. Also the nylon bands themselves wear out very quickly despite the high denier fabric count.
Used to wear nylon bands on my Protrek and Submariner but have now swapped to silicone ones instead. As for breathing wise the sillicone bands have raised studs underneath so the band isn’t making full contact with the skin all the time and allow for some sort of air circulation. Doesn’t work as well as say a leather strap but it does the job and sweat dissipates enough even when wearing the watch on say a PT run. Hydrophobic properties of the silicone strap doesn’t make it stink after a while of wear too.
As an aside, really wouldn’t mind splashing out on a Sinn automatic.
Dev,
Which silicone bands are you using? I’m looking for a new band and it sounds interesting.
Thanks
Check this one out I stumbled on upon Instagram:

Nato straps are awful
Apologies for the late reply Brian, I hope you do get to read this. Been busy with ANZAC Day and the like.
The brand I’m using currently is by an Australian company called “Duraflex”, and they seem to have very little to nonexistent presence online. The straps were purchased and fitted by a small mom and pop style store down the road where my current address is.
Hope that helps.
Ah, Prometheus Design Werx…a website full of cool products that are always sold out…
True that. Limited edition! Whatever…I don’t even bother anymore.
No joke!
Anyone know what kid of knife that is. I like how thin it is

Comes into stock every now and then, their manufacturer can’t keep up with demand
