Survitecgroup To Offer Shoothouse During SOFIC

During next week’s SOFIC in Tampa, Survitec is hosting an indoor shoothouse not far from the Convention Center at the Cruise Terminal. The ammunition will be provided by Simuntion and targets by Fitlight.

The shoothouse will rely on these rapidly deployable Inflatable Walls built by the Inflatable Wall Company. They’ll take repeated hits from Simunition with no appreciable wear. What’s more, the outer sleeve can be quickly changed and is available with custom printing. Customers can send photos of the type of walls they want and Survitec will print it on a sleeve. There are different sizes of wall section which can be configured to mimic any space. Additionally, there are door sections which can be repeatedly breached.

The Fitlight target package works with Simunition and offers wireless feedback. The Fitlight Trainer consists of eight LED disc targets and a tablet controller. The discs can be programmed to light in different colors and for any length of time. For example, different colors can be assigned to shoot/no-shoot targets. When a target lights up in the proper color, the shooter engages. If it’s the no-shoot color, the shooter continues to scan the room. Additionally, the same target can be set to different colors at different times making scenarios seem completely random for shooters. The first time a shooter engages a target it may be okay to shoot, but the next time it lights up it may be a no-shoot scenario. Since the patterns are set on the tablet and the targets are programmed wirelessly, there’s no need to go into the shoothouse to reset targets and patterns can be changed at will.

The Cruise Passenger Terminal is a short walk from Convention Center, or you can take the trolley. Survitec employees will be on hand to offer Trolley passes.
