Metolius Belay Glasses

In Spring 2017, Metolius will release their Belay Glasses which incorporate a prism to reduce neck strain on the person on belay. They can be worn over other eyewear.

    I think this would be great as most belay glasses on the market are almost bespoke from small manufacturers costing $$$. Hopefully these produced by a larger company will bring the price down somewhat.

    I’m really very shocked to see how Metolius copy almost the same design form Y&Y Vertical, the Plasfun model commercialized from 2014.

    Theywork a treat in reducing neck pain. It can get pretty uncomfortable holding your neck back for hours some times.

    As others have mentioned, doesn’t seem much different then existing products.
