I was sitting in my 8th grade Algebra class at this very moment. I would have never thought back then that 9 years later I would be coming home from my first deployment to Mosul.
SSD,
I know you will post it as you do every year, but all I can think about on this day is the jumpers.
I love each and every one of you reading this. Thank you all for your service, and the defense you gave for me and for my countrymen. When it seemed so unthinkable, we answered the call.
Thanks for all you gave, and all you continue to give. You’ll always be the first page I check when I wake up and the last page I check before I go to sleep.
