You walk around a knife show and you see a lot of the same stuff, so when I saw an ice-axe, I had to stop.
Created by Shane, an Army Veteran, he had grown up climbing and wanted an American made Ice Axe. What’s more, he wanted to be able to swap out the tool heads and adjust the angle of attack. He has built the handle out of aluminum and the head out of sword steel.
Shane and his Family are top notch, blow alot of the main custom knife manufacturers out of the water.
It’s not a serious ice tool is it…?
Can’t be, must be for canoeing.
This would be terrible for ice/mixed for so many reasons.
Bravo. Very interesting tool and looks well-made. Hammer, adze, or nothing options opposite the pick would be great in future models. Angles look decent but might be tough to get right…check out CAMP X-Dream, all Mtn or light, look at the angles. US-made rules.
But how does it work on Trotsky?
Bwahaha! You win the Internet.
