Stop Your Boat!

MissionSpec is considering getting into the morale patch game. What do you think?

It would probably look more cool if they showed the moment of boarding, or when the hatch was being banged on instead of this.

  2. GANDIS says:

Agreed. I actually didn’t get the reference until I read this ^ comment.

  3. Sasquatch says:

I like a morale patch as much as the next guy, but that thing is fugly. Hard pass for me.

Would be better if they had this on it instead:

    “Al Tu Su BaRcO”

100% agree! Plus the sub looks like a cartoon, and without reading the comments I had zero context what this patch was. they have a great idea, terrible art.

  5. EODMadBomb says:

I’m all for them getting into the Moral Patch market, but if they want to sell patches, they should pick a better design than this one.

I had to read the comments to figure it out. Now maybe I’m slow, but I also bet I’m not the only one.

  6. Sean says:

Maybe it’s because I’m still waking up, but it took me about 30 seconds to get the reference. As others have said, this isn’t the greatest design, and there are better scenes that video to use than this one.

Good design and art is expensive. You get what you pay for.

  9. Sam says:

I think it looks like a 6 year old made it in Microsoft Paint.

  10. Payce says:

It took me a few minutes to figure it out. I don’t know why they didn’t just do the CG dude banging on the hatch.

  11. estaban says:

    Um..no

  12. straps says:

Better art, and do it as a lenticular animation patch where the intrepid Coastie alternates between grabbing the hatch and moving his dominant hand down to his sidearm. Because, you know, a drug sub could conceivably have a bad guy behind that hatch…
