    I was driving to work in between 5:30am and 6am PST, and was listening to NPR reporting on the crash into the first tower. Stayed at work until about 9am as word got around and we were told to leave and go home. Spent the rest of the day (and more) stunned and glued to the news watching the horror unfold. I think that the only other time I felt such a gut punch like that was when Challenger exploded in flight.
