Well known Shooting USA host Jim Scoutten has passed away.
In his thirty years of reporting the shooting sports, Jim played a pivotal role in the industry and will be greatly missed.

Only got the chance to meet this guy one time but he was a consummate professional and did great things for the shooting sports industry as an ambassador and TV personality. Rest in peace Mr. Scoutten.

Jim was thoroughly an encyclopedia on both weapons and Military History. Gracious with his time and encouraging to new companies in the industry. Always greeted you by name and ask how your life was going.
Class and still humble!
Very missed
He had a great speaking voice and his video reviews of firearms and shooting products was conservative but he always sounded a slight-bit enthused, which made him even more fun to listen to.
He will be missed.

Without his show, I would have never known about action shooting sports thru which I met my spouse and became gun user, not just a owner
