Triple Seven Gear sent us a prototype ‘Warrior Wallet’ to try out, mentioning that a Kickstarter campaign would soon follow. Now called the CORE Nano Adventure Wallet, the campaign has gone live.
The CORE Nano Adventure Wallet was designed to fulfill the following requirements: rugged, compact, lightweight, and be able to securely hold cash, credit cards, ID, and small ‘Nano kit’ gear.
The CORE Nano is manufactured with a 1000D ballistic nylon exterior and a 70D pack cloth interior, with a bungee retention strap and a quick open design. It features a clear plastic pocket for ID and cash, two center pockets which can hold 6-7 debit/credit cards, and a “Nano Kit” section. This section has a bungee retention strap with 1/4″, 1/2″, and 1″ openings, and a retention pocket for storing EDC gear such as a flashlight, writing implement, and a micro multitool. Behind the Nano Kit section is a Velcro-secured secret pocket for carrying micro SERE kits, keys, etc.

I doubt I’ll get an answer here, but where did the $7777 amount come from? If they are ~$30 each then that is probably somewhere between 200 and 250 wallets, divide that by 3 (color options) and you’ll have something like 80 of each.
There is no way that the manufacturers minimum order is 80 of each color, in my experience it’s more like 25, so why isn’t the project goal somewhere around $2250?
Just out of curiosity, I’m sure this guy has his reasons for it, it just doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

25 is really short run for companies. Most contractors ask for 100 at the very least. Being a simple item they probably would want 300 plus
Weird… I’ve worked with his manufacturer and other US based manufactures who do tac gear. All I’ve talked to have quoted me a 25 pieces minimum, including his manufacturer. Never had anyone change their minimums because of a simple design… And the wallet really isn’t that simple.
If it’s related to his company name plus a 7 then that’s fair, it’s also fair if he wants to sell ~250 to make this worth his time. I think I’m wondering if the use of Kickstarter is simply to guaranteed to sell X amount of units instead of taking a risk by simply adding a new product to his catalog.
I’m guessing it’s because his company is Triple 7, but only asking to raise $777 was not really an option.
Make it RFID protective and I may bite.
Looks cool and so it the idea but I’m so sure about having all of that stuff in wallet and then having said wallet in my back pocket. Over the years I’ve been trying to slim my wallet down by removing cards and junk I don’t need and this wallet would be a step in the complete opposite direction for me. On the bright side, with some of my pants having semi large/loose back pockets a fatter wallet would stay in better because as it is I have to the occasional double check to make sure that my wallet didn’t fall out and is still sitting in my chair at work, my car seat, or the bathroom floor.
Don’t forget to move all those metallic cool-guy tools from your wallet to your checked baggage before your flight.
I love 777 Gear. I organize a lot of my tools with it. I’ve got micro and mini kits. They all serve me well.
