On May 28th, the United States celebrates Memorial Day, a holiday honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. This is great opportunity to visit cemeteries and memorials, but also to spend time with family and friends at a picnic, sports events and family gatherings.
The next day, May 29th, there is the Foreign Missions Veteran Day in Poland. It is good to know that Polish Armed Forces have been participating in international missions since 1953. Over 84,000 soldiers and military personnel have participated in over 71 operations. This day is important to remember all Polish soldiers who served on difficult missions abroad.
