Operator Relief Program

Untitled

Operator Relief Program is an organization which provides opportunities to active duty SOF Operators to relax before or after deployment. To this end, they provide an all inclusive retreat for SOF Operators and their spouses, taking care of all the details of the trip. The upcoming retreat is this July in the Flathead Valley in Northwest Montana; 6-days for three active duty Operators and their spouses, each couple receiving a lake house with fun activities scheduled for them in Montana.

You can donate towards the upcoming retreat by visiting www.gofundme.com/r4nwxs.

Doesn’t this violate OPSEC? I’m just a civilian here but telling us the future location of SOF personnel and their families just doesn’t sound right.

@Patrick – That’s a great question. As the organizer and a former member of the SOF community, I am very conscious of OPSEC and I would never release information that would jeopardize my brothers. To allow our supporters the chance to understand what we are doing and bring credibility to the cause I must release some details on the retreat. So I published that we will be holding the retreat in the Flathead Valley. The Flathead Valley is a large area which covers several thousand square miles, so I see no risk in releasing that information. Also, we are not releasing the exact dates of the trip or there specific travel plans. Thanks for the question Patrick.

Probably no more so than saying, “Shades of Green” in FL is going to have some military families staying there, or a bunch of Soldiers will be marching in an Independence Day parade.
