GREETINGS from Fehrbellin Battlefield.
“Having grown up in Hessia-Homburg, a visit at the Fehrbellin Battlefield was s “holy duty”. On June 18th 1675 His Royal Highness Friedrich of Hessen-Homburg started the attack on the Swedish troops. This led to a glorious victory of Brandenburg and laid the fundament of the strength of the later Prussia. Friederich had lost his leg in the battle of Kopenhagen but was still in active service. Later on he helped the protestant refugees from France, the Hugenottes.”
