There has been an overwhelming demand for information on where to buy the upcoming DEFCON X Vans Syndicate AOR shoes. Fortunately, we’ve obtained a list of retailers that consistently put at least a few pairs of Syndicate exclusives on their online stores. We were told they will all announce the shoes on their news / blog sections and usually launch in their store and online the same day. The given release date for the AOR shoes is October 15th. Please remember that supplies are limited; this is most definitely a ‘first-come-first-serve’ situation. If you’re looking for a pair then good luck!

    That AOR2 looks good.

  2. Sgt E. says:

    Who makes those plate carriers?

    • Padawan says:

It’s a LBT 6094 in AOR2, and a Crye NCPC and a Crye NJPC in AOR1. (the ‘N’ denoting ‘Navy’, as those were custom ordered and slightly different from the generally available ones)

  3. Squirreltactical says:

Too bad Marines can’t wear these without looking like huge D-bags.

    • Jason says:

Correction: Too bad nobody can wear them without looking like a d-bag. It’s always awkward for me seeing that one dude wearing marpat pants on the subway. Who in their right mind thought that would look good? Just makes you look like a dumbass to me.

Some people just like how camo looks. In high school, I wore a pair of tiger stripe pants pretty much every day until they fell apart after 3 years LOL These days I don’t walk around rocking Multicam shorts but I am wearing DPM with flip flops right now. Comfortable stuff and very stylish ^_-

I couldn’t care less what Jason, or any other dumbass, thinks I look like :P. Marpat is a good camouflage pattern, and mil-quality clothing is usually comfy and functional for pretty much any utility/casual usage. In addition to the real usage in the field it’s designed for.

Surplus clothing, either from some national stock or your own closet, tends to be pretty darn good value for the money. When too worn out or too outdated for field/outdoor usage, it still easily beats wearing a suit, or, heaven forbid, jeans, on the subway or whatever.

But, heck, what are these sneakers? PT/Sports wear? NSN? Military? ‘Tactical’? Or, let me guess, just some crappy Asian sneakers with fancy camo for the looks…

Given that Vans are the biggest manafacturer of skateboarding shoes in the world I’d definitely go with them being skate shoes, coupled with one of them being called a sk8-Hi.
