another generic pant with tiny, knee-level cargo pockets. looks like a flat-front 5.11 taclite pro minus one pocket and the d-rings.

my guess is they’re trying to compete on price? wonder how many 5.11 guys will switch.

  2. “Tactical” … apply liberally to products and suddenly operators are operating operationally with your tactically tactical product.

    ‘Merica!

  3. Joshua says:

Maybe these Dickies will fit bigger than a .75 inch belt.

  4. Stuart Neilson says:

Agree with Luke above. The cargo pockets are too small to be of any use and too low on the knee to be comfortable. Pity. My several pairs of Dickies ‘work’ jeans are the best jeans I’ve ever had.

  5. straps says:

    Wow. No.

    • straps says:

Lots of cops wear Dickies because (a) it blends in with the “target market” when under cover, (b) it fits kinda boxily; you can size up and wear a ballistic vest–or not (c) it’s expendable clothing–if someone pukes on/bleeds on it after snagging it on a cyclone fence while rolling him up it can be washed and fixed or dumped in the trash.

But yeah, those cargo pockets. First time I saw those cargo pockets on Dickies it was at one of the burger chains. Found it strange then, even stranger now. Stitch ’em in tan and VIOLA! TACTICAL!

I’m usually happy to see established brands enter the tactical market but this is the most haphazard initial entry I’ve seen in a long while.

  6. Bill says:

Carhartt made a pair of pants with numerous tool pockets that were the best for range work, different from their ordinary carpenter’s jeans. but as with everything I like they were discontinued. Even though they weren’t “tactical,” I never noticed a difference in my performance or ability to get laid.

Riggs and Wrangler brush pants are my normal wear during marijuana eradication, though I can’t believe I haven’t been killed because they aren’t camo. All I know is that I end the day with a lot less scratches, lacerations and ripped up pants than the cammied-up guys, and equal amounts of weed.

    • Reverend says:

Ain’t that the way always?!?! You really like something, and they freaking discontinue it! It’s why when I buy clothes, I buy them a size bigger for shrinking in multiple washes, and every color, and variation I can find.

    #MadeInPakistan

    • SSD says:

Are you sure or just guessing?

      • Logan F. Crooks says:

I don’t have any inside scoop about these in particular, but I know that a lot of their products are made in Pakistan (i.e. Scrubs, Sweatshirts, Job Shirts, etc.), so I wouldn’t be surprised.

      • Tact guy says:

        Nope.
Made in the western hemi from USA fabric!

  8. Badjujuu says:

They’re jumping on the tactical band wagon now?

  9. Stefan S. says:

Free “Brownshirt” with every purchase (made in Germany). Sorry, couldn’t resist.
