What Do You Think of the US Navy’s New Commercial?
The free world rides on Uncle Sam’s security blanket.
Hell, the Kuwaitis spend so little on national defense that they can give every citizen 80,000 for free despite being a tiny wealthy country, surrounded by regional powers,and has been invaded within the recent past .
All because we’re there.
The American taxpayer is in effect paying for their Rolex’s and Raybans
Loved it…
Too bad they don’t show the lowly seaman on mess cook duty washing dishes and picking up after officers in the wardroom.
…or busting rust, priming, painting…or serving officers in the wardroom…or cleaning out the urinals.
It’s not just a job.
Or the RP unq’ing on the rifle range
A USN manned/equipped for all regions on the globe and above!

Can some one please spoof this with a remake of all the not super cool guy jobs they show? Because last I checked the dudes they showed with those jobs are a minority, IE SEALS, EOD, Pilots, Boarding Parties.
Because you can’t sell Chevy’s without making a big deal about the Corvette’s…The video is just the tip of the spear. If you’re in the military (have been in the military) you know it takes a lot to maintain and operate the shaft of the spear. Years ago (at the risk of showing my age) we had a slide show presentation on U.S.S. John F. Kennedy that was shown to all the VIP’s and various visitors that came aboard. It was 95%+ about the enlisted men, E-6 and below, that were responsible for all the dirty, grimy, all too often thankless, jobs that make the tip of the spear possible, AND more importantly, successful. I’m ok with this video.

HA HA hes probably one of those clowns that intentionally drives into checkpoints at the border or DUI checkpoints and asks over and over if he is being detained for no other purpose than to be an ass. Once the team gets to the bridge, he has a camera going saying “Am I detained right now?”
Whats this supposed to accomplish? I thought we were drawing down our numbers and going below 300 ships. Besides, with recent movies like Act of Valor, Zero Dark Thirty and American Sniper the Navy shouldn’t have to be spending any money on advertising.
