The “THULS” guys were on hand again this year with even more new products.
One example is the Ranger Basic Module. It is on the approved materials list for Ranger school. But, most recent graduates are saying it is mandatory. It features all of the checklist data from the Ranger Handbook printed on the Multiple Environment Rewrite System material so you can conduct mission planning. MERS feels like plastic and you can write on it with a Staedtler marker and the writing can be erased with an alcohol pen. Additionally, it is completely water proof and can be paired with a standard graphite pencil for use as an underwater slate.
Additionally, their Leaders Tactical Handbook is used by every leader in the Marine Corps. Mission Information Resources, Inc can develop custom products for your specific requirements.

how do you go about getting the Ranger school version like the one in your pic?
Contact them and tell them you saw it on SSD
you can get them at us cav, atleast at campbell. i just got one scanned it and threw it on the share drive. joe doesnt need to spend 40 bucks on that this, some of the data in it is jacked anyway (wpn systems stuff)
So you scanned it? What good is that going to do anybody? The info came from the Ranger Handbook.
The whole point here is the Multiple Environment Rewrite System material that it printed on. It allows you to reuse the same cards over and over. Rain won’t erase your data, sweat won’t erase your data. Only alcohol will do it. The data you fill in the rosters and charts stays available until you don’t need it anymore.
Talk to your unit about buying these for your guys. ADS can sell them via TLS. http://www.adsinc.com/thuls
One of the real values of the product is the fact that the MERS material is able to be written upon using map pen, ultrafine sharpie or pencil in any environment repeatedly…including underwater with pencil. Hence the tagline ‘Infinite Rewrite’. Joe will be well served to equip himself with a set of status cards that are utterly impervious to weather and eliminate the need for laminate and wp bags for tactical info. If you’ve got corrections on the weapons section, I’d like to hear about it…
M4 is 500 point type not 300, fm 3-22.9. correct me if i am jacked up. i prefer the old fold out status cards. 40 bucks is to much for joe. i will say that the tactical data is well layed out. if units issued this it would be the heat.
cool. thanks. the info on the weapons data from the ranger handbook? ive got the MERS thing. it does work. also, i enjoy the site. good work. problem solved problem stays solved…
I won a contest from them a while back and I love their products. I have used the Sniper Sketch more than some of the other sheets I got. I carry the smaller one in my pocket and the large one in my pack. I use the WARNO card to brief my ANA Squad Leader prior to missions. Anyone know if the Ranger one is available around Bragg? I would love to pick one up on leave.
Thanks for the posts, rrnnggrr…I’ll look into it.
