WHERE
PROPPER is headquartered in St. Charles, Missouri with factories in U.S territories (Puerto Rico), the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Our distribution center in Waverly, Tennessee ships up to 175,000 items each week. PROPPER products are contracted directly to the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as sold commercially through more than 2,500 military, law enforcement and specialty retail stores. PROPPER and its dealers also serve state and local law enforcement agencies across the country.
WHEN
PROPPER was founded in 1967 by William T. Propper, an entrepreneur and inventor with a passion for manufacturing. In 1974, it was purchased by current owner, Earl Weinman. Soon after, PROPPER landed its first government contract with the U.S. Navy, manufacturing caps known as “Dixie Cups”. In 1992, PROPPER expanded into commercial products, taking decades of military experience and applying that knowledge to creating tactical garments for the law enforcement community.
