MDM – Camelbak

Camelbak serves as a sub-contractor to the primes for new Marine Corps Pack Suite after the mil-spec Antidote was chosen as the hydration system.

It features a wide opening mouth into a low profile, 100 oz baffled reservoir with a quick disconnect tube. The low profile cap requires just a quarter turn and can’t be over tightened to help mitigate leaks from breakage.

A commercial version should be available in exchanges beginning Spring 2012.

Awesome! I’ve been meaning to get a new water bladder. And it seems they have done some nice improvements to the military line bladders. Now, if only disconnecting the water tube would seal the water bladder adapter, that would be perfect!

  2. Doc Steel says:

Will there be carriers to go along side the bladder or will it be just sold seperate?

  3. Administrator says:

Camelbak only providing reservoirs to ATK and Propper. They will provide the carriers for the Marines. However when Camelbak commercialize it they will offer carriers.

  4. Doc Steel says:

    Thank you administrator

I wonder why the Marines didn’t go with a more high quality reservoir? Camelback isn’t junk by any means, but they have had problems with rough use. I had numerous camelback reservoirs fail, sometimes after only a single use!

  6. Administrator says:

They conducted a field trial and Marines chose that reservoir.
