I was shopping around for new eyepro to deal with the dust storms we’ve been getting and I found that Bobster sells nearly that exact same thing for $15 called Bobster Wrap Around Goggles
In general, once something is marketed to the military, the price quadruples. I have a dual paned, thermal lens paintball mask with fan rated to Z87+ (higher than shooting glasses) that I bought at the PX for $45
The ESS goggle with fan cost $160
Larry,
Tell us more about the Bobsters.
Are they mil-spec for ballistic protection?
Do they protect against UV?
Where are they made?
The point is still, that eyewear companies seem to think that a basic fan system costs £60(Ess). And that people seem to think that you have to pay lots of money for decent eye pro. The more you spend, likely the better, but at the end of the day, most milspec eyewear companies charge very high prices(Oakley, ess turbofan).
I think what the administrator is trying to lead you to realize is that military products are built to a higher standard. Consequently, they cost more.
