MSR is a huge supporter of the military and they really came through for us today with 11 of their Whisperlite Stoves.
Also, don’t forget, today’s winners as well as every other winner, will receive a 2012 Tac Girls Calendar. (Just the calendar, not any of the girls)

Deer Jerky goes a long way.
ramen noodles
I love beef stew and curry chicken
Chili mac. I always felt like I won the lottery if I grabbed one of those.
Miso soup
Maple sausage. Really it should be called maple, because everything in it is maple. Except the sunny d drink.
MRE. When I’m hungry in the field I’ll eat what ever is available.
Love the LRP rations, for a few days. Then they get old.
Chili Mac!
Potatoes Au Gratin!
Pinto beans with some bacon thrown in. Just add water and you can eat for an entire day for only a few cents.
I like the old ham slice MRE. Eat it cold. Reminds me of Mom’s cookin!
Chilli Mac
Sloppy Joe MRE with the fudge brownie desert!
Meet Patty MRE
Mexican rice, chicken, chiles, and cheese on a wheat tortilla. Can be made fresh for from dehydrated ingredients if backpacking.
Vienna sausages
chili mac MRE
Baked beans out of pure laziness.
Beef stew in the ‘old school’ (dark brown) MRE’s.
I always loved five fingers of death
Mountain House chili mac
Meatballs and Pasta
Maple Sausage, without a doubt.
My favorite is Mountain House meals. Supply usually has good flavors for us to choose from and almost always my top choice- Chili Mac with Beef.
chicken pesto mre
quinoa salad
My favorite field ration is called the “Paleo MRE”: 1000 calories of beef jerky, nuts, and dried fruit in a package the size of a field-stripped MRE.
Spaghetti MREs
Beef stew!!!! FTW!
Beef Stew.
Mountain house seems to be the best. Deer jerky all the way though ! Looks like a nice stove their giving away, might be some “wild soup” if I had that !
Ahh MREs! Chili Mac if I must pick.
GORP. The MRE with pesto chicken is pretty dern good though.
Beef stew
Beef stew or beef roast mre
Australian Army dehydrated rations: Beef and Black bean
I like snacking on just about any type of jerky. For MREs I like Mountain House.
Nature’s Valley Peanut Butter granola bars!
Paleo Kits!
Peanut Butter
Favorite MRE- Beef Ravioli. The first time I ate this one, I put some of the red pepper flakes on it. Unfortunately, the wind kicked up and blew a good portion of them into my nose instead of the MRE pouch. Cussing vehemently, I dropped the rest of the red pepper in the pouch. I felt like I had been hit with OC pepper spray for at least an hour. I learned to love this one later, but used Tabasco from there on.
I started to eat only mountain house meals. They taste like real food and are easy to make.
I like to make my own deer jerky to eat when out in the woods.
I’m good with MRE’s. Chili-Mac is about my favorite
Lately its stuff from pack-it gourmet. Mostly just add hot water. And hot sauce.
tasty-bites, the spicy vegetables are fine cold. but all are worth the weight difference from freeze dried.
Wise food storage
CHILI. I love Chili
Favorite field ration…hmmm…how about a fresh game kill?
