Commenting on SSD posts is a privilege. It isn’t a right. I can ban your IP just as easily as I can approve a post. Awhile back we had an issue with industry shills so we changed the way people comment. Now, it’s a maturity problem. I can institute even more changes but I’d prefer not to.
I see your IP and can figure out most rick-tick who you are. So please don’t come in here throwing racial epithets around or creating multiple logins in order to support your narrow minded views on race relations or to share your abnormal sexual fantasies. That will definitely get you some bad attention. I will share your IP with the world.
My suggestion has always been to only post online what you would say to a person’s face. You just never know when you might meet that person, in person.

We have our ebbs and flows. This past week has been a one-two punch of people posting before thinking. A former competitor of mine loved that stuff because it equated to page views. I’d rather get them by having good content.

This is such a cool info site, and you do run it very well, which makes the experience that much better. I used to mod at another site, and understand what you guys deal with. Just please promise you won’t let the dumbarses take the fun out of it for you.
I’m not against using nicknames, I used to be known as Doorgunner211 or Outcast11. I use my real name here because I don’t feel the need to be anonymous. I have nothing to hide, say what I mean, mean what I say, and generally think before I do. Not to say I don’t do stupid from time to time, but I will admit when I’m wrong. So if I do stupid, call me on it. I was born with testicles, I can take it. That’s just me.
It’s a good thing to remove posts that doesn’t make much sense. But people may and do use dynamic IPs. If you ban IP adresses, then there is a possibility that someone completely unrelated may be banned for someone elses fault. You should just remove posts and not ban IPs. Just my two cents …
