S&S Precision is working on prototypes of a plate sock for users of their Plate Frame. It uses a 4-way stretch fabric to cover the plate providing camouflage and some environmental protection for the plate’s strike face. It also provides some space on the rear for additional enhancements to be announced at a later date.
Look for a final version soon.

Have they released an MSRP for the plate frame yet and I missed it? Wondering if this is going to be super expensive like most of their stuff…
Of course it will be expensive. I don’t think it will be outrageous, but S&S isn’t in the business of putting out shit to the masses. They solve problems for unique customers, and the products they sell to the public are the end result. All of it is quality brother. Worth the cash if you have it and have a need for that product.
I don’t think they put shit out, and I know that their stuff is very well designed, but over $200 for a Surefire scout mount? My Gear Sector mount performs perfectly for just $50. Also, a kangaroo insert for $150? I just think that they could price a little more competitively.
If the Plate Frame is $300-400, that’s understandable. But, over that, I think you’re just paying for the idea. Nothing wrong with that, but eventually the price ought to come down once it’s been in production for a while, as the idea will have become old, and copied (most likely).
