Both these guys are defeating the purpose of growing a beard.

Trimming the edges is a sin in Judaism/Christianity, and Muhammad copied and pasted it to Islam too.

  I don’t think they are trying to fool anybody into thinking that they are Muslims, but the beards are for the cool factor.

  In the Muslim word having facial hair is a sign of manhood. Talking to marines with shaven faces is like talking to a kid to them.

    My CAT-A grew mustaches for the Iraq invasion for precisely this reason. Beards were a no-no since we still wanted our masks to get a good seal if needed.

I honestly believe that the best part about seeing this picture is how the Afghan dude in the middle of the picture has completely overcome adversity by duct taping his surefire to the handguards of his AK.
