Maneuver Conference – Mystery Ranch – The Spartan Has Arrived

The Mystery Ranch Spartan is finally available. MR has made their final tweaks and it’s ready to go.

I harassed the guys saying it had finally emerged from development hell but they corrected me and reminded me that they just wanted to get it right. And right I’d say it is. For starters, it boasts 1200 cu in of Mystery Ranch load carriage awesomeness. it also has that super cool 2-zip access and is great for fighting out of your buddy’s pack.

The Spartan also incorporates the Spadelock as well as Propel’s QuietLoop.

Call, email, telegraph, send smoke signals. No matter what you do get in on this. Available now from www.MysteryRanch.com. But I’ll warn you, it’s so new that it isn’t even on the site yet.

I just called and they said it’s not for sale. In fact they said, not for at least 6 months. Someone lied to you. You got my hopes up too. I have been waiting for this for over a year.

Finally! I’m glad to see they’re going forward on it. Plus, this isn’t the only thing in the pipeline. I visited the factory in August, and they have several badass designs on the way.

There was more than the Spartan there today and they were pretty realistic on when they would be avail. to order.

Finally. Great designs. Should be worth the wait!!!

Apparently very different design to the original concept pack seen here https://ssdaily.tempurl.host/2010/12/20/name-that-pack-winners/

Shame. Look forward to seeing more specs.

They ruin all of their packs with black zippers! I will never understand that.

I remember being told this was a NOGO two years ago when I was in Bozeman…they didn’t like what they had as it was a byproduct of their work with Archangel…guess they unscrewed the problems with it.

I was one of three people who had submitted the name “Spartan Pack” and were selected in an SSD contest to win one and nothing ever came of it. Why?

  9. JM says:

Right on! Wonder if a 2000CU pack based on the same design is in the works as well.

  10. Alex says:

I always wondered what happened to the pack. It’s been a while since the “name the pack contest”!
