Last month, SSD infiltrated an agent into the Hot Shots 2013 Calendar Launch (you’ll get to read all about it tomorrow) with the specific task of liberating a signed 2013 limited edition SSD version of the calendar as a prize for a lucky SSD reader. Here it is.
Our man in Manchester stood in line clutching the calendar. Once he made it to the head of the line (and was able to untie his tongue to ask for their help) he secured the signatures of all six calendar models. This year’s Hot Shots calendar is inspired by pinups of the 40s and 50s and they’ve done a bang up job on the bawdy playing cards as well (see the sampling below). And, as always, 50% of proceeds go to military charities.
Grand Prize is the signed limited edition SSD version of the Hot Shots 2013 calendar along with a deck of playing cards.
Eight second prize winners will receive an unsigned copy of the limited edition SSD version of the Hot Shots 2013 calendar along with a deck of playing cards.
To enter for your chance to win:

Use any nom de guerre you desire but use your real email address as we will use it to contact the winners to request your shipping address.
Unclaimed prizes will be redistributed.

Good luck and Happy Christmas from SSD!
It’s not too late to order your 2013 Hot Shots Calendar, the playing cards, or badges. My favorite Christmas gift as an adult was making the last R&R flight to get home for Christmas in 2003 from OIF-1. I didn’t know at the time but I would get four more “oppertunities” to get an R&R flight home over the next 8 years. God’s speed to all still there.
In our family every year each person makes a wish list and turns it in to my parents. When it time to buy presents you just call Mom and Dad to ask what left on the list and everybody’s happy on Christmas morning. Last year I very casually listed “magazines” and when Christmas came I got AR mags from my brother. I got glock mags from my sister. I got more AR mags from my father. And I got “Guns and Ammo- December” from my Mom. Ive never seen so many members of my family laughing at once. But Hey she got me what I asked for- Magazines.
My favorite Christmas gift is that my Aunt has beat cancer and all my family is happy and healthy! Couldnt ask for more!
I’m game! This would be an awesome way to stuff someone’s stocking after Christmas. Just in time for the New Year’s. =)
My favorite Christmas gift was a girl named Katherine.
My favorite Christmas present was taking port in Singapore instead of being on the ship after Sept. 11, 2001.
Favorite Christmas present given, Christmas Story Leg Lamp to my mom!!!
There have been many great memories over the years. Although, I’d have say that being home for the holidays is pretty awesome! I’m very lucky to have a family that has put up with my time away.
Oh and this Naga is pretty comfy too. Happy Holidays!
Favorite gift is having been able to survive a couple of duties this year and be alive and home to celebrate Xmas!
My favorite materialistic present that I received would be the Biolite Camp stove, turning wood into electricity just rocks. But by far the best gift I could ever ask for is to be surrounded by people I love. Family is everything. Merry Christmas to all, especially the folks downrange giving the ultimate gift.
A few years ago we gave my daughter a Hana Montana pillow she partly tore some paper, identified it freaked out then reached in grabbed the pillow and pulled it out of the wrapping in one shot. So funny!
Stay safe everyone. My families thoughts are with those deployed and your families. Merry Christmas.
follow up; SSD rocks. Keep up the great work. It’s great how you are so international. Enjoy your Boxing Day sales.
My favorite gift I can remember is my lovely wife saying yes when I proposed to her 3 years ago. Merry Christmas to everyone.
My favourite gift ever was from my wife, last year. She got me a ISSC Scar .22LR. Its a .22lr made to look like a SCAR. Lots of fun and a lot cheaper to shoot than my Bushmaster ACR, haha. I hope SSD has a great Christmas and holiday season. Merry Christmas!
Best Christmas gift ever is seeing the happiness on my kids’ faces.
Favorite gift was my family, and the first year our little girl can open presents on her own. After that, anything given to me from OSOE.
My sister surviving a nasty car crash that almost took her from us.
My favorite gift is being able to be home to see the look on my wife’s and daughter’s faces as they open their gifts. We don’t have much, but finally being back together is the best gift I could ask for.
My favorite gift was a Nikon 40mm macro lense.
Easy one…my wife, I’ve always considerd her my Christmas gift!
Of course the sappy stuff, but since this is SSD. I have a LaRue OBR 7.62 on the way. My wife told me it wouldn’t be here in time and got me a T-shirt with Reagan’s face that says “what he said” by far the best gift this year!
My favorite Christmas present was my springfield armory lightweight loaded champion my wife got me. Complete with wilson combat ETM mags. It compliments the TRP operator she got me last year!
Watching my kids give each other something special. My youngest gave her sister her shark tooth she found at the beach this summer. It was her prized possession. Brought tears to my eyes. They fight as sisters will, but they do love each other. One of my other daughters gave me a dollar and a multi colored pen, the true meaning of the thought that counts. A dollar and her colored pen is huge to her.
After reading question I was ironically thinking like: “everyone’s gonna write something ’bout family, probably in big words. No one would like to be considered non-human for writing about material stuff”. I looked at comments smiling ’cause what I was thinking was true I then I realized that I don’t really remember the presents I got, only time spent with my parents and my sister. Kinda funny how one can amaze himself with own stupidity 😀
My Family!! My Favourite christmas present that came early… I arrived home to my Family yesterday from my 8th Trip to Afghanistan! See some f you there next Christmas!!!!
being able to skype and watch my kids open presents on christmas day while im deployed in afghanistan

Girlfriend bought me a Wilson Combat 3-Gun TTU for Christmas this year. BEST. GIFT. EVER!
Time with family #1 on my list. Received a 5.11 tactical MOAB 10 backpack among other fine things…..A calendar score WILL make my wish list complete….Merry Christmas!!
All the norm; seeing the excitement in my girls eyes when they open their presents, my Kifaru woobie, and TAD jacket I got a few years ago. The most memorable will be arriving home on Christmas day for R&R on my fourth deployment.
My favorite Christmas gift was a HSGI hat. Our squad leader bought them for the whole squad while on deployment in Ramadi in 05. It was pretty cool how he did that for all of us.
My favourite present was a home brew kit. There will be beer!
My fathers LC Smith side by side 20ga shotgun.
My LWRC M3…from this year of all times…
Swiss Army knife
My favorite Christmas present isn’t one I received but one I gave, to my son when he was 8, a ruger 10/22, the look of excitement on his face was priceless. And the first time I took him to shoot it was even better, 3 years later and I know that the love of firearms has been passed down another generation.
My favorite gift is being home with family this year.
my favorite gift this year was getting to know a special person!
My favorite gift was a TAD Dauntless knife.
Seeing my 3 boys open the box for their first rifle, an M&P 15-22. Priceless.
My favorite gift was an Aimpoint Micro T-1 (2MOA) on Larue QD mount.
Being with family and all of us discussing how thankful we were (not an easy year for us).
Greatest christmas gift is to be reunited with friends and family, especially those that I haven’t seen in years. There is no better place to keep your heart warm than home and having SSD to keep your heart pound with daily excitement.
Be safe and happy holidays to all
This year, my wife gave me a Foodsaver Vacuum Sealer. My only gift, except a Zombieland DVD, and I love it!
Fav gift was pinning my younger brothers wings on him.
My favorite present was seeing my family!
Favorite Christmas gift is being home this year and not being deployed again.
My brother finally speaking to me and letting go of the past after a long time of angst.
Peace is much greater than any material gift.
My favorite Christmas gift is my lil brother being home with us for the holiday! I haven’t seen him in about six months and he deploys to afghanistan in a month!!!
