Still Don’t Think You Need a Hoplite Focus Ring from Phokus Research Group?

The Hoplite is a simple patented hinged aperture control that mounts in place of the NVG’s sacrificial lens and allows the user to switch between near and far focus at a simple flick.

Maybe these will help change your mind.

Could have used this about a decade ago! Would be great to see if it works with older models like the 7Bs.

Whats the difference between this one and the one from TNVC?

  3. Rob says:

The RFR from TNVC provides an instant close focus of 18 in when flipped down in front of the objective lens. The RFR is great for tasks such as map-reading, administering first aid, etc. Ideal for anything 2ft or closer. You don’t lose any light and visual clarity up close.

The Hoplite was designed to accomplish three things.
    1. Provide an instant close focus from 2-5 ft. while maintaining clarity out to Infinity. Ideal for Target ID of near threats such as disturbed earth while patrolling. Our Hoplite also excels inside vehicles needing to remain dark. For Aircrew, Boat Teams, and Route Clearance personnel 2-5 ft. is where you live.
    2. Replace the existing Sacrificial Lens.
    3. Replace the current NVG storage / dust cover.
**Note. Due to the aperture reducing the field of view in order to increase the depth of field – IR light is needed with our smallest 1/8 attachment.
    • Phokus Licensed the Hoplite Technology to Matbock in order to create another style of 2-5ft cover. Their design is an infinitely variable iris (like a camera lens) that gives you auto focus no matter the ambient light.

Your mission will determine which cover you need.

Howdy just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know
a few of the images aren’t loading correctly. I’m not
sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same results.
