Does anyone know the original meaning of “A” & “T” in the patch?
Duh – never mind. Adventure Team. got it.
Holy Shiznickel batman! I thought I was the only guy who remembered that stuff. I had a big AT logo on a dog tag chain when I sent in the coupon from my GI Joe Sea Adventurer in 1973 or 74. Of course, I lost the damn thing… along with the little mini dog tag from my original GI Joe.
Me too. Same story.
Just honored to have been of inspiration and very glad to see the G.I.Joe AT logo again on the edge !
I don’t suppose you happen to have a website with photos of your collection, would you? Every time I see GI Joe collections its a trip down memory lane, and wishing I had KFG hands.
here it is , hope you’ll enjoy it !

Awesome collection Maurizio! The photos brought back many memories, especially the scuba diver in the orange rubber wetsuit, mine made many open-ocean dives at Pensacola Beach circa 1968…
And I’m happy to see that you only collect real GI Joe’s, not those 3″ posers… 🙂
Thank you so much for your nice words !
The Adventure Team Joes were the coolest of all the GI Joes. I loved the AT Headquarters building.
Also works for the Appalachian Trail, for those of us that backpack. Be interested to know which logo came first, since they were only a couple of years apart; National Trails Act of 1968, and the Adventure Time crew in 1970.
The GI Joe logo came first.
The Adventure Team was the least liked of the Joe line. It did away with the military theme. Very few guns. It was the anti war line.
Are you kidding? Ever take a gander at Super Joe?
