Just saw a Ranger Up youtube video about gun rights.
“Violence is just a part of life, like fourth meal.”

“We do not rise to the occasion, we fall to our level of training.”
“If its stupid and it works, its not stupid.”
“No plan survives first contact with the enemy.”
I also had a CO in the 82nd once who like to talk about “rigid flexibility.” What he meant was that we should always be ready, willing and able to flex to the changing demands of the tactical situation – or as he put it, to adhere rigidly (i.e., steadfastly) to the doctrine of being flexible. That operational philosophy has really stuck with me through the year’s.
