This is literally a first-draft prototype of a low-vis blow-out kit Raven Concealment Systems is co-developing with fellow NE Ohio-based tactical company Eleven 10 LLC.
This kit is mounted on a Raven Concealment Systems ModuLoader Frames (a 5-finger Modular Frame).
The tourniquet carrier uses no straps or flaps, yet securely holds a CAT TQ in any position. The best part about this component is that it requires no secondary motions to deploy the TQ; simply grab the CAT and draw it from the carrier.
The mini-blow out kit uses a compact pull-out pouch containing a trauma dressing, Quick Clot Combat Gauze, Russell Chest Seal, and a pair of gloves.
The pouch design is only a proof of concept, and the production version will be much cleaner execution.
I’m looking forward to this product as it will answer a question and need that the industry has. The ability to easily carry a TQ concealed.
I’d be interested in the TQ holder as a stand-alone setup for my Duty Belt at work.
Check out Oc Tactical, he is an Eleven 10 dealer and has the tourniquet holders in stock.
Cool. I’ll have to look into it. Currently in Afghanistan, but after Boston it seems like a good idea to keep carrying one when I get back.
If you guys like that, you should check out rogue gunfighters low vis blow out kit and their new ankle blow out kit. And for the record no one piece of gear ever answers a question completely.
