The MOE Fixed Carbine Stock – Mil-Spec Model provides a fixed, non-collapsing stock option for carbine-length buffer tubes. The MOE Fixed Carbine Stock has a slim profile, improved cheek weld, and multiple sling attachment options, and is compatible with the ASAP Plate and PRS Extended Rubber Butt Pad. Installation is non-armorer and does not require the castle nut or lock plate to be removed.

Nice. What’s the LOP Magpul?
12-3/4″ I believe.
I really like the stock but if the LOP is only 12.75″ that’s a bummer. I hope there is a way to increase it up to A2 length without using extended buttpads. Even at A2 length I need a 1″ pad, which Magpul doesn’t make. Hopefully they will release both of those items.
… You misunderstand, this product is specifically made to be a smaller LOP fixed stock. They already make an a2-length fixed stock.
I can’t really replace the buffer and buffer tube on my issued rifle (it’s carbine length).
If you want a longer buttpad you can purchase the PRS extended buttpad (MAG350-BLK) which is 1″ and fits this particular stock.
Just saying, I love Magpul…
I do question some owners of AR’s who put magpul gear on their carbines, then put everything but a latte machine on it…
Soooo you lighten up the rifle then add more heavy stuff? Huh. Huh. Okay. Different strokes for different folks!
This stock rocks, boys! It’s solid. It fits both A5 and Carbine REs.
Magpul nailed this project.
Also… it’s so easy to put on, and ARFCOM retard could do it!
LOP compared to an A2 can be seen in a picture in this link:

This is going to be great for us in CA where collapsible stock is seen as an “evil feature” and will banned, along with the forward vertical grip and pistol grip.
Seriously.
For the internet commandos who say “just get an A2 stock”: That’s fine and dandy for your personal bench rifles that you only use to shoot pretty little holes in paper on the weekend. Unfortunately I can’t swap the buffer tube on my issued rifle. Also this stock looks a lot lighter than a PRS or MOE rifle stock, which matters when you have to lug it a couple km to a target site. Please take some time to think things through before being high and mighty.
