Hodge Defense Systems has launched their website. Aesthetically, it is unlike anything seen in our industry but I like the look. It’s simple but the are some cool little details that draw the eye and entertain. Kind of like the marginal drawings on restricted unit prints.
But, enough of the website. Now on to the carbines they are actually building. A you will see below, Hodge uses some of the best components available. This is only the AU Mod – 1 which is a 5.56 model. There is also another model planned.

I am really glad to see Jim Hodge launch Hodge Defense Systems. This man has been building rifles for a very select group of guys and consulted for a number of big name rifle companies for a good number of years. I have been lucky enough to get behind a lot of different rifles doing suppressor demos and I have my favorites for one reason or another. I got behind a HDS proto type in Feb. and it just flat out ran with our SOCOM556-Mini on it. Looking at the attention of details Hodge has put into them you know he took a lot of time to build a great rifle and hope I can find one when they are released to add to my personal collection.

I am not sure what kind of magic dust he puts on his guns but the attention to detail is outstanding.. These days its hard to find an AR that runs as good as it looks and this does both.
