Recently, when speaking with some friends in the suppressor business I said that if silencers were removed from NFA and made mandatory someone would be upset because the Government wouldn’t let them shoot loud guns. Well, suppressors aren’t mandatory equipment (yet) but some one has stepped up to make your guns louder. Reminds me of a Vietnam era LRRP team I read about which carried a “sawed off” M14, the purpose being that if they were forced to break contact, the crazy loud sound signature of that gun was intended to make the enemy think they were under fire by something belt-fed and large caliber, and thus confused about the nature and size of the unit they had made contact with/hesitant to press their attack, giving the limited firepower LRRP team more time to leave the area.
Any word on how it tames muzzle rise? Some of the best breaks are really loud, does the reverse hold true?

AAC brakeout on a 7.5″ will rattle your teeth out, but then you can put a can on it if you feel the need… 🙂
