From the makers of the BedBunker comes the CouchBunker. The CouchBunker is a fire rated gun safe built within a custom made-to-order couch. The safe is half the size of a queen sized bed (78″ x 29.5″ x 14″) and lined with a two-hour fire wall. It is designed to hold up to 30 rifles, plus other valuables. The CouchBunker can be ordered in three styles: Bridgeport, Mesa, and Kingsville. These come in either fabric or leather, with loads of color options available for both. Additionally, there’s an option to add on bullet-resistant cushions with carry straps, for use as an on-the-fly shield. They are designed to stop a .44 Magnum at point blank range.

Nice concept. But at 6K and up. No thanks! Seen the economy lately?
…and it’s the societal danger made real by this economy, that makes a couch with bullet resistant cushions and sub-keester safe a necessary investment! I can’t count the number of newscasts I’ve had to endure, detailing the subhuman use of SBIEDs (Sofa-Borne IEDs) to convert innocent football fans’ scrotums to bow ties, or some other horrible anatomic conversion.
Enough is enough, I say!
If only I had a mere nickel for every instance in which I needed the ability to reach under my ass to retrieve a weapon while engaged in television or movie watching. At a minimum, the shows would have been more engaging!
Certainly, $6,000 is a fair sum of money – but I ask you, sir, how much are the asses of those you invite into your home worth?
Best. Couch Fort. Ever. I do have to say though that along with tactical walls, the unconventional but safe and discreet storage of firearms has a future. This makes more sense to me than the box-spring safe where you have to move an entire mattress to get to your guns.
